That summer, Sandy Dumbrowski, the new girl, and Danny Zuko, leader of the "T-birds", had a brief romantic fling. Sandy tells the Pink Ladies while Danny tells the guys. Sandy and Danny meet at school where she is happy to see him, but he is cool. Sandy realizes that Danny is putting her off to be cool and wishes she had never met him. Danny wants to patch things up with Sandy.
